Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American actor, voice actress, director producer and vocalist. Liu is a gorgeous, intelligent actress who inspires many Asian actors to achieve success in Hollywood. Through a succession of performances in popular shows the actress gained notoriety by joining the cast in the series legal comedy Ally McBeal where she played the sly Ling Woo. It was a moment of fame that led to movie roles, such as Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. The actress also gave a superb performance as Japanese criminal O'Ren ishii as part of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. At the same time, she also took on lead roles in some film that did not make the top of the charts, like Rise: Blood Hunter. Following that, she began to play characters that were prominent in animated films like Kung Fu Panda. Screen roles of a smaller screen like Mia Mason in Cashmere Mafia failed to produce results. A recurring role in the critically acclaimed police drama series Southland allowed her to regain recognition as an actress of note. Liu takes great care when choosing her roles so that she does not become typecast within a highly in-demand industry. While she's proud of her background, she is determined to not let that limit her imagination.
