Zoe Saldana was born on the 19th of June, 1978, in Passaic, New Jersey, to Asalia Nazario and Aridio Saldana. Her father is Dominican as was her mother, while her father is Puerto Rican. Her mother is Puerto Rican and her father was Dominican. In 2010, she relocated along with her family to Dominican Republic where they spent for the next seven years. Zoe started to discover an interest in performance dancing while she was living in Dominican Republic. At the prestigious ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy Zoe learned both ballet as well as other styles of dance.
