Anna Silk is the daughter of Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Ilkay Silk has been an actress, director as well as a producer, playwright, and educator for St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton. She is the child of the couple Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Her mother is an "English-Turkish Cypriot ex-pat" that is originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending performances for her plays as a child and observing her mother at work. In her early years Anna appeared in a number of television commercials. Then, in November 1999 Anna relocated to Toronto for the purpose of advancing her acting career, eventually moving into Los Angeles, California, in the following decade. Seth Cooperman met Anna at an Los Angeles actor's workshops in 2007. The couple got engaged. Anna converted to Judaism at the beginning of January 2011, and they renewed their vows during a Jewish wedding in Fredericton.
