
Lowell began acting in Dangerously Close, followed by an appearance in Club Paradise, starring as Robin Williams. The actress went on to play roles, including co-starring in the role of Bond girl Pam Bouvier in the James Bond movie Licence to Kill (1989) and, starting in 1996 she was the assistant district attorney Jamie Ross for two seasons in the drama television series Law & Order, a character she reprised on the show in 2005 as a guest in the spinoff series, Law & Order: Trial by Jury, and later on in the original series in 2022, when it was relaunched for the 21st season. Before she was cast in this role she was unhappy in her acting career and she had applied to study documentary filmmaking at New York University. [4] The actress took a break from acting in the mid-2000s. In 2012, Lowell lent her likeness as well as voice while reprising her Licence to Kill role in the video game 007 Legends. In 2018, she made her return to TV, as a guest on the show Blue Bloods. [7][8] Personal life Lowell has been married three times. John Stember was her first husband. She was married to him between 1984 and 1988. [9][10] The couple were married from 1989 until 1995 to actor Griffin Dunne and they have one daughter, Hannah. [citation needed] Lowell got married to actor Richard Gere in November 2002,[11] following the birth of their child Homer James Jigme Gere, who was born in February 2000. After 11 years of union, the couple broke up in September 2013. They were involved for three years in New York Supreme Court divorce proceedings. The divorce matter was concluded in October of 2016.
